The Cuvée Cristal is produced from the Crus of the Reims mountains, the Marne valley and the Côte des Blancs. It matures in the bottle ore than 8 years and rests after the Dégorgement another 8 months to give its maturity the finishing touch.
Soil type: Permeable chalk floors from the tertiary. The valency expresses itself in the composition of the classification of the Cru situations and with that in the grape price.
The 1776 founded Champagne house in Reims has more than 200 hectares of vineyard, exclusively Premier- and Grand Cru-positions. The company is run today by Frédéric Rouzaud who produces uncompromising champagne qualities of the top class. The company is able to cover 2/3 of the grape need of one's own itself, because of such comprehensive vineyards. An indispensable prerequisite for the production of great champagnes. He guarantees the style and resistance of their champagnes with a great choice of reserve wines. They give the champagne qualities their corpulent type, complexity and balance.
